@Jon true. but if he still has a dvd player im gonna presume he also dosen't have a hdtv. now to watch blurays he need to spend a lot more because he has to buy the tv too...

@BlackBird941 - It's 2011. HD programming, and HD sets have been around for 10+ years now. If you don't have an HD-capable TV by now... you owe it to yourself (if you enjoy movies/TV) to go get one.
They aren't expensive.
