New-out-of-the-box Samsung soundbar fail. :o(
Once the "ON" button is touched the soundbar begins going through an endless cycle of "HELLO" "PROT1" "OFF" until unplugged.
Responses from Samsung Customer Support were indifferent and unhelpful - once they finally responded.
Returned the soundbar and bought Polk.
I returned the soundbar to where I bought it, since I wasn't getting any decent response from Samsung.
(I instead bought a Polk Instant Home Theater soundbar and am enjoying it. Decent wireless subwoofer, excellent sound from soundbar, AND instead of requiring a totally separate remote control to control the Samsung soundbar, the Polk "learns" the signals from whatever control you are using now, so I'm back to one remote for everything. The Polk was $198.)
