when I grew up my grandmother took me berry picking, I felt like a girl doing it but now I realize it made me the strong person that I am today. I know I can survive. it wasn't until late in my teens when I got to know my grandparents actually, I was 11. During a six week summer vacation I was sent to the farm and I expected horse back riding, bbq's and lots of leisure time. what happened instead was horse back riding, bbq's and working the fields from morning to night. That's how I westernized

Canada is a huge country so some Native Americans will "Westernise" like Clarence Louie where the land is dry/limited resources and other won't since there from remote communities with natural resources and can live of the land.

So strongly put and straight to the core of what we need to do not just youth but as parents to the youth you must step up and inspire your own children, get on with your healing so they don't just watch you crumble. They need to see healthy parents who can heal and get on with it. Don't you know they look up to us as their very first leaders.

What a great leader.
Chief Louie is saying similar things to our first nations youth as Bill Cosby is saying to the African American youth.
Lots to learn in this speech for ALL youth.
