Isaac "Dany" or "Martin" Godoy Castro, together with another six alleged drug traffickers from the Arellano Felix clan were arrested in Tijuana, Baja California. The men were operating under the orders of Fernando "the engineer" Sanchez Arellano, their cartel heir. This drug gang is one of three remaining from the old cartel fighting for the control of Tijuana -- a main drug entrance route into the United States. The family-run Sanchez Arellano cartel started up in the 1980s. It began disintegrating over the past few years, since many brother members were arrested or died at shootouts with security forces and rival gangs. But these are not the only arrests. In Irapuato in the state of Guanajuato, Mexican police also arrested four alleged drug traffickers. These men allegedly belong to the criminal gang "La Familia" (The Family) based in the state of Michoacan. They tried to exhort a merchant who reported them to the police. [Carlos Zamarripa, Attorney General]: "They are all part of the same organization (La Familia). That's the link we have and with regards to other cases they could be linked to, such as kidnappings, drug trafficking and other extortions, they are under investigation." U.S. President, Barack Obama visited Mexico last week and promised to reinforce security along the U.S.-Mexican border. He also promised a crack down on the flow of American weapons into Mexico that has helped drug gangs amass huge arsenals.

  • To bad Mexico doesn't have the death penalty for drug dealers & murderers like North Korea, Thailand & Suadi Arabia. That would easily put a cease to some of this type on nonsense.

  • so true but they don't want to put the death penalty because a lot of their own law makers/leaders/top exec could get executed by their own law lol

  • @streetfax actually there is more pot coming outta the country than you would think, which kinda makes sense when you consider how much stoners there is compared to crackheads. if pot was legalized they would take a HUGE hit. wouldn't end them, but their capabilities would be reduced to a shadow of their former selves

  • Is the Mexican Sanchez Arellano cartel expanding to China,North Korea and South Korea ?
