Play DCS-A10 C if you ever wanted to get in one of these ... Note you will need at least 15 hours to learn how to start this thing.

The Fire Rate of the GAU-8/A wins anything on the AC-130.
In fact the A-10 is more effective in CAS than an AC-130.

@1984wrx they dont use the ac-130 anymore because they fly so slow and are too easy to get shot down. yes the ac130 does have 2 larger cannons but the a10's cannon fires at 3,900 per minute but they can rev it up to 14,000 per minute and (around 60 per sec). also the a10 can easily take out any tank with less than 5 bullets because the 30mm cannon slits metal in half so easily. a10's firing at a tank will usually fire 3 rounds and that would destroy the tank. hard to believe but its tru
