This is the elevator that was put in back in the '80s to comply with the upcoming ADA. anyway, this sears & roebuck holds a special place in my heart as I had shopped here much as a child. As a matter of fact my Hitachi TV, and VCR came from this very store back in 1986

  • Hey I'm not surprised but I heard this is one of the 120 Sears/KMart stores to close :(

  • Walked thru the mall on a nostalgia trip today. Sears is closing soon and the mall will be just memories. Spent a lot of years shopping and enjoying a great mall in its time. Always thought the parking garages were great. Thanks for showing the elevators to the world.

  • @procksomaterman I live in Arizona. So the odds of that are pretty slim.

  • @bakedpotato1678 do you go to thomas?

  • same one at my school

  • I haven't been on a Montgomery with those fixtures.

  • very cool dieselducy!!!

  • Thanks diesel! I was telling Jim about the escalator there if I remember. The old 1957 escalator is still there. I assume the old frieght elevator is there with the wooden gates.

  • I am really proud of you for thinking first before filming! That saves you quite a bit.

  • If I wasn't thinking I'd get in trouble for filming, I'd film the Montgomery elevator in the Sears store at The Shops At Tanforan. That mall has a lot of neat elevators, including 2 old Dovers at the JC Penney.
