Thank you for spreading the TRUTH about horse slaughter on your web site. It is nice to finally see someone with a mature, rational understanding of horse slaughter who is willing to help educate the public. I applaud your efforts! Fantastic video as well I'm using your methods to work my own 2 year old grade mare & she's just ready for this very lesson.

I had a question, How many days or weeks would you work on each step? Clearly her trust has improved with each episode, but how do you know she is ready for the next step? And, especially, how do you know when she is ready for riding? I think you did an amazing job with her. Great work!

HI thanks for your question.... I feel a horse is ready to move to the next step when they are 100% at the previous step, no matter what that step is... so if I was working on trailer loading, I would be sure that the horse would step on the ramp (if that's the step I was working on) 100% of the time when I asked her to. If the horse only gives you the "right answer" 75 or 80 % of the time, keep working on it till it's 100%. You can always do something different and come back to it as well.
