For 26 volunteers from State Street Corp. in Kansas City, it wasn't just another day at the office. The volunteers spent Jan. 22 at the Heart to Heart Global Distribution Center in Kansas City, Kansas, doing quality control on Care Kits donated by volunteers across the country. The workers spent the day making sure the kits, in zippered plastic bags, contained the proper personal hygiene products. The volunteer program is part of State Street Corporation's social responsibility program. Employees are allowed two paid days a year to do volunteer work.
