Nature based play is vital to early childhood education. It used to be a naturally occuring event. Now there is increasing dissociation between children and nature, especially in urban settings and most school playgrounds. It seems that as teachers, and parents we need to make every effort to create opportunities for playing in and with nature.

Great video. Children and nature were meant to be together. I am a children's author and illustrator passionate about connecting kids with nature. I have just recently launched my "Let's Go Outside" video series that inspires kids to head outdoors and explore the "magic" Mother Nature has to offer.

This is a wonderful piece. getting connected to nature early in life is something great. The tragedy is later in life when there is a disconnection, for reasons we cant justify! You are my teacher!
