PLEASE READ THIS:

This is specific for only the dvx. And this hack is meant for filmmakers who use a 35mm adapter and need to rotate the image, right-side-up.

I do not know how to do this for other cameras, so dont ask.

Furthermore, im not responsible if you break your own camera, good luck on this. And remember, this WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY. so continue at your own risk

  • dude. can u just put a magnet there?

    wow much.

  • no that only works on the dvx100A and some selected sony cameras. This is the only dvx100B method.

  • Steve, let's say I do this to my viewfinder, but then later I decide not to shoot with my adapter. Can I undo the flip hack process & then back again ect? I understand you have to be careful through all this. Thanks for your help!

  • Yes, easily.

Once the toothpick is inserted, the image will flip, and only stay flipped with the toothpick in. Once you remove it, it will simply flip right side up.

And you should be removing the toothpick anytime you ever close or put away your camera anyway. In other words its a very temporary hack, for however long you need it.

  • Seriously man, you saved me some bucks. Thanks for posting cause it works great!

  • no problem!

  • what's this magnet method?

  • only problem with this is it just flips it horizontally, the problem with this is that when you move left it will appear on your screen that you are moving right, can get kinda confusing.

also instead of a toothpick i use a twistie tie, this way if you accidentally close the lcd it wont break your camera.

  • Cool, thanks man!
