An air guitarists dream song! Frampton broke through so many barriers with this song and its album, the first as I remember to really popularize live concert recorded ALBUMS. After this, everybody and their brother started doing live albums but none really compared to Frampton Comes Alive. (And please don't mention that made for film, live and canned knit together Last Waltz by Scorsese and J.Robbie Robinson, a testimonial to their egos). Frampton really knows how to put on a show!

Frampton comes alive. the best live album. Midnight special. the best produced television show. a great time to be 15.

he's still one of the best performers and out there doing it to this day. plus, his shows don't require a second mortgage. i never counted until recently when i was unpacking from a move and came across my box of concert stubs, but in addition to 2 free shows in Orlando in the early 90's, i've seen him 18 times! total cost was probably less than one Stones show today.
