As the contest for the next mayor of the City of Atlanta entered the final weeks prior to the election on Nov. 3, all qualified candidates were invited to the Emory campus to discuss issues of poverty and homelessness, education and ethics, sustainability and the workforce environment and other issues of interest not only to the university, but to the entire Atlanta region. The forum was sponsored Emorys Office of Government Affairs, Emorys Center for Ethics, the League of Women Voters of Atlanta-Fulton County, WAGA FOX-5 and the Clifton Community Partnership.
