hey if you google squared five mpeg streamclip you will find a website called Squared5 and a program for free on their site called MPEGStreamclip. it will convert your files into usable codecs with practically no loss. we used it in a television station i interned at, and i use it myself. it's wonderful and you'll be able to make them into quicktimes for premiere
