as all researchers know, not everyone have same effects of medicine, just as some people get side effects of pencilin so the bottom of the matter is Jacqui Smith gets side effects of cannabis, it is her personal problem, but it is not reason enough to punish other people..

@LeighHobnob - If you look at historical rebellions, many have been incited by unfair taxes on the poor that only benefit the ruling elite. The government govern us by our consent and even the Queen rules only by consent of the governed. If we do not consent to these legalities, then our governor's need to pay attention to those who sent them to act on our behalf at Westminster. Our country is not in any debt....its all a myth created by the banking industry.

Cancel all debt and free the weed!

@HumanSayNo I do, however think there should be some sort of control on cannabis. I'm sure that you would agree an age limit for instance would be essential? The drugs trade in the UK alone must be worth billions! Could we not use that money to get our country out of debt? Lets face it, we are taxed for everything. Instead of a durg dealer making a fortune, use the money to benefit all of society. As I said before, everything should be legalised.

@HumanSayNo Please don't get me wrong, I agree with you. However, the fact that drugs are illegal does not deter people from getting hold of them, the only difference is who benefits most from the revenue generated from the sale of them. Ultimately the profit goes to a criminal who may have his hand in human traffiking, arms dealing etc. I would suggest that the money would be better used on hospitals/schools and rehabilitation for people who have a problem with drugs.

@LeighHobnob - If the criminals who make our laws decide to make cabbage illegal then you will be a criminal if caught in possession of cabbage. Would it then be ok to buy cabbage as long as we pay a tax on it?? My point is that they have no right to make cannabis illegal in the first place. It only became illegal in the UK by the introduction of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. And who lobbied Parliament to make it illegal?? The pharmaceutical industry! Cannabis cures cancer and many illnesses!

@HumanSayNo I'd rather be taxed than classed a criminal! The law should be exactly the same as it is for alcohol! I.e. you could grow your own free for your own consumption, but not sell it. Or if you wanted to buy it, a tax would be levied! I don't understand why this is not the case to be honest?
