***Chameleons (family Chamaeleonidae) are a distinctive and highly specialized clade of lizards. They are distinguished by their parrot-like zygodactylous feet, their separately mobile and stereoscopic eyes, their very long, highly modified, and rapidly extrudable tongues, their swaying gait, and the possession by many of a prehensile tail, crests or horns on their distinctively shaped heads, and the ability of some to change color. Uniquely adapted for climbing and visual hunting, the approximately 160 species of chameleon range from Africa, Madagascar, Spain and Portugal, across south Asia, to Sri Lanka, have been introduced to Hawaii, California and Florida, and are found in warm habitats that vary from rain forest to desert conditions.

  • this is not chamaleo chamaleon its is a panter chamaleon

  • None of these is a common chameleon

And all moods you wrote are wrong

  • also, they are not carnivores, they are omnivores in the wild, and are suggested to be insectivores in captivity to stay healthy. most chameleons live between 7-9 years. maybe in the wild 10-12 years, but i have a feeling even that is rare with parasites and preditores. and brookesia minium is even smaller than 1.3''

  • there is no chamaeleo chamaeleon. what you showed in the video is Furcifer Pardalis (panther chameleon) and Chamaeleo Calyptratus. dont always trust wikipedia, it is wrong half the time. also, the emotions of what are on the video arent exactly true either. for example, the "sleepy" colouration could mean stress, endangered, cold. the "excited" form of shaking, could have meant scared, startled, or anxiety.
