This video is the first run for my Sony A1U on the Steadicam Merlin. For this setup, the camera is the only thing mounted on the Merlin. The only addition is the larger battery. Footage was captured at full 1080i resolution using no additional lightsources. All camera settings were on default.
when you say... "i hav a stedicam". Do mean, a full running rig (like the Pilot or flyer, about $8,000.00+), with the sled, articulated arm and the vest, or do you mean, a Merlin, tha thing that looks like a "C" with weighta in the center and bottom ($799.00)? Either way, it take hour and hours of practice. A pilot or flyer takes a least 40-60 hrs just to feel comertable with it. The Steadicam workshops cost around $3.500.00!

i hav a stedicam but not happy with results, it has a kind of floating effect and bobs a few times before finally settling, i noticed it slightly on yours to but nowhere near as bad as mine, is the merlin the best for what you pay? or is there a better one on market?
