agreed, Kasparovs games where he avoids simplifying and just continually builds up the pressure are much more entertaining and instructive, than when the position is simplified early on. It is good to see these two legends going head to head again though, even with the lack of time.

if they had played on long time controls we would have witnessed only ONE game... so please! ofcourse its a bit sad but i say: lets be happy about them still playing at all. :-)

These timed games could have accounted for age/average time per move and provided a little more time. One can make pretty accurate estimation for that now. If they weren't timed, I imagine it would have been utterly exhausting and recreate the conditions that stopped their old past match. Nevertheless, both champions agreed to the terms.
