@macofdeath You need to look up the definition of communism. That means the state sets all prices and wages. It means the state directs the means of production. It means there is no profit/loss system. The Communist party started moving away from real communism in the mid-70's.
All systems utilize capital. It is whether individuals control with free pricing and a profit/loss system, direct state control (communism), or a mixed system where the state indirectly controls the means of production
@macofdeath China does not have a communist system. There is private property there. There are market prices for the most part. In many ways their economy is freer than in the U.S. It's much easier to start a business there.
China's Communist Party is still on control, but don't confuse that with practicing communism. China is a mixed economy. It's closest to state capitalism. It's not a free market or communism. It's somewhere in between.
@macofdeath "Basically?" Slavery is completely contradictory to libertarian philosophy. It was govt. that gave santion to it. They codified the ownership of people. Slavery is an initiation of force. It's not us that are constantly advocating initiation of force.
Today's progressive-corporatist state is a kind of slavery. People are compelled by the threat of force by the state to work to pay for other people's wants and desires. We all try to enslave each other.
@macofdeath who legalized slavery? The citizens? Yeah they came up with the laws for it as well lol. Like marriage, abortion, it's always up to the governments in societies telling/forcing what people can and cannot do.
It was basically under libertarianism policies that slavery was legal and the scum from Europe wiped out Native American civilization here under the excuse of "giving them civilization." Oh, but according to faux libertarians such as Stossel and Ayn Rand, Native Americans should be happy with what we give them. They are so fortunate.
@Pipipanda1 idiot China is still a Communist country. China has a sham economy that funnels money to its military, treats its workers like slaves and is absolutely not capitalist. Any more proof than the fact that they just censored 288 television channels down to 38 because of the "excessive" entertainment? Anyways, if you want to use their faux capitalism as a great example you couldn't pick a worse one there are no ethics there and no protection of good faith like what America used to have.
@NIGHTMAREuki
There's not much to back up. The point was that the danger of Ron's politics are perfectly exemplified in his We The People Act.
