Be more Aggressive! You play the slayer much too conservatively. Your target should be enemy healers and mages. Everything else is secondary. Avoid the enemy frontline circle around to the side or flanks hit the enemy from their blindside, if you are fast enough and use the right combos you should be able to kill your target before they can react. Once you engage a target pursue it relentless until its dead, do not keep switching targets in an attempt to stem the tide, thats the job of the tank.
