Having a high IQ doesn't necessarily mean that you know stuff. You can have a very high IQ without knowing anything about physics at all, or be highly knowledgable about physics and have a low IQ.

The whole metal bends, its even a calcuation, a jet uses it to know how much power is applied. So, if the train has say 50,000 horses applied, well its actually torque, then the shaft rotated a foot. Anyway, don't know why boats aren't snakes either.

fancy bumping into u here at the same time culwin. no surprise aye? I learned this at a huge rail/train museum once, and never managed to forget, but its one of thoe things one never really thinks about. toot.
