December 16th 2007
The girl's dorm room

Haley sat on the living room couch with Kevin
Scratch that
Haley sat on Kevin on the living room couch.

There wasn't much noise in the room save for the noise coming from the comedy show playing on the T.V mixed with the unmistakable sound of kissing.
This was a full on make out session.

It wasn't often that they got a dorm to themselves so whenever such a phenomenon should occur they made sure to use it to it's maximum potential because moments like this were rare.
Usually, as soon as they'd get into it they'd have to stop for some reason. It was like clockwork and tonight was no different. Bridget burst into the room right on time.

"Hey I thought you were going to be dancing with Joe tonight." Haley said pulling her shirt back down her navel.
"yeah well you and me both," Bridget said through clenched teeth.

Ever since Haley told the girls about her dinner with Kevin and how he'd told her he loved her she couldn't stand to be alone in the same room with them for long. Seeing the way Kevin would look at Haley, the way they were practically radiating love at all times, it was enough to make any third wheel hate themselves.

"I'll be in my room" Bridget said walking into her room and slamming the door behind her.
Haley and Kevin sat silently looking at the door to Bridget's room for a couple of seconds
"she'll be okay" Haley said frowning
Kevin drew his eyes away from the door, "yeah. I'm sure everything's fine"
He pulled her back to him and they turned their attention back to each other but stopped almost as soon as they'd started because of the noise coming from Bridget's room

There was a yell declaring Bridget's hatred for boys followed by very loud music.
Haley stood up from the couch.
"That's my que. Sorry but.." Haley began
"yeah, it's okay. I know. I was just about to tell you I'd have to leave. Whatever's eating Bridget up must have something to do with Joe." Kevin said putting his jacket back on.

Haley walked him to the door
"Call me later, yeah?"
Kevin smiled at her and gave a quick kiss
"but of course"
She waved goodbye as he walked down the hallway.
Then sighing she walked into Bridget's room and turned down the music.

"so do you want to tell me about it B?"
"not especially" Bridget said from her bed were she was lying down staring at her ceiling
Bridget sat down on the edge of the bed.
"Ben and Jerry's?" she asked hopefully.

Bridget nodded her head, yes.
Together they walked into the kitchen and got out a carton of double chocolate chunk Ben and Jerry's ice cream and two spoons out.
Half the cartoon through and Bridget had just wrapped up telling what had happened in the pool.

"wow" was all Haley had to say
"I know!! He just gets up and leaves saying he has to do homework. How bogus and excuse is that? Joe Jonas and homework? No."
"Wow" Haley repeated
"yeah, really. And what's worse is I just sat there in the water and watched him leave. I didn't even try to stop him
"Wow" Haley responded again

"If you say wow one more time. I'm going to jam your spoon down your throat."
"um...whoa"
Bridget sighed "better, I guess."
They sat in silence for a while, enjoying their ice cream.

Bridget was the first to say anything
"maybe...maybe he left because he realized I'm repulsive."
"oh god, please don't do the 'tell me I'm pretty' thing. I hate when girls do that" Haley said rolling her eyes.
"well it's true. I'm probably just not his type..."
"don't be daft B. That's not it. Analyse the evidence. He held you in his arms for longer than was necessary. He was leant in for a kiss. He left the pool shaky and blushing. The boy definitely seems to want you."

Bridget smiled to herself thinking "so I'm not crazy."
Haley, seeing Bridget smile decided she was fine now
"well, I've had just about as much ice cream as I can stand for tonight. I'm going to go tuck in now. Night." she said putting her plate into the sink and going to her room

Bridget barely heard her, she was too busy brainstorming

OKAY. SO BECAUSE I IGNORED JOE AND BRIDGET FOR A COUPLE OF CHAPTERS, THE NEXT CHAPTER'S GONNA BE ABOUT THEM TOO. :)
