Daemon Irrepit Callidus

This song is dark and haunting, but its lyrics are quite uplifting. It speaks of defying demons and living for Jesus. It seems bit religious for a public school, but many great choral works are religious! This is the Fond du Lac High School Concert Choir; Daemon is one of many pieces they sang on their 2008 tour of California.

The Bass got off tempo through the part that goes impin gua tur di la ha ta tur etc. Yes the rythem is hard as heck but my mens choir learned the song in 1 week. The sopranos sounded like little girls no offence but I speak the truth. Also the sopranos drownet out the tenors and the basses throught out the whole song. I also could hear individual voices. common basses can't you do any better than that I couldn't even hear you. Hope this choir gets better in the future.

Yeah, we discussed the pronunciation with a choral professor in California, and after that session our pronunciation got much better.

It's funny-- most of the ones offering "Constructive criticism" on this piece are 18-22, and in no way qualified to be saying *anything,* much less anything as negative as I've been hearing.

Very good performance, better than my high school choir is (so far), one thing I'd like to say is during the Bass soli and especially at the end, the basses really need to sing out (I'm a bass, so that's what I was listening for). Other than that, good performance.
