Stanmorden "You know, the Qur'an is a book too. I guess by your logic every thing in the Qur'an must be true as well." There is truth to be found in the Qur'an. The annunciation is in the Qur'an. Cornelius Tacitus and Josephus wrote about Jesus Christ. The reason these things were written down so much later is because, things were not recorded in this manner in first century Palestine. Things were recorded by word of mouth

I think you're confusing scientific evidence with things written down in a book.

For forty years I accepted a historical Jesus, but when I did the research, I found it very improbable that he ever existed. You call it foolishness. I can just say that a historical Jesus wouldn't bother me one bit, and you are very optimistic to expect one existed based on the lack of evidence.

baconeater One word for you, foolish. Foolish.....

Josephus mentions Christians who by then believed in a historical Christ. And again, Josephus did not live at the time Jesus supposedly lived. He makes mention of Christians 60 years after Jesus supposedly died.
Don't shoot the messenger.
The flood DID happen. There is archaeological evidence of about 60 ft of silt between the Tigris and the Euphrates. (The Babylonian world) The ark and all the creatures bit sounds a bit far fetched though. Maybe 'Noah' landed in Palestine!? Ho Ho.

@harrisonaard1 A world wide flood didn't happen. There were no two animals from each species saved. There were all sorts of local floods in the world and still are.
