From her 2005 album Aerial

Lyrics:

The dawn has come
And the wine will run
And the song must be sung
And the flowers are melting
In the sun

I feel I want to be up on the roof
I feel I gotta get up on the roof
Up, up on the roof
Up, up on the roof

Oh the dawn has come
And the song must be sung
And the flowers are melting
What kind of language is this?
What kind of language is this?
I can't hear a word you're saying
Tell me what you are singing
In the sun

All of the birds are laughing
All of the birds are laughing
Come on let's all join in
Come on let's all join in

I want to be up on the roof
I've gotta be up on the roof
Up, up high on the roof
Up, up on the roof

  • You are....(you fill in the blank Kate)

  • @yakirush2345 Isn't it odd you can be in love with someone you have never met...yet be so sure......

  • damit i love you

  • Just listened to the original (pre Phil Spector) version of Across the Universe, had an epiphany and came here.

  • @Samateepae You should listen to Laura Marling's Rest in the bed.

  • David Sedaris and crows plucking eyes off lambs

  • Kate is the only other woman I (think I) am in love with...but for more esoteric reasons.

  • is it posible to see KB playing this...maybe smwhr in little english pub?

  • It's the first time I've heard this beautiful album. Many thanks for posting.

  • Why do i not own this album? I`m away to have a meeting with myself about that! I love her stuff. Kate bush, Tori Amos and Elizabeth Fraser are the holy trinity of female vocalists to me. Way better than most female singers we hear saturating the airwaves nowadays with their dire soulless garbage with no capacity for real emotion.
