this guy is way off base. olmert is saying something RADICALLY different than has been said by israeli leadership. olmert's career is over, due to the corruption scandal. he has nothing left to lose, so he can finally speak the truth, without fear of repercussions by the very powerful settler movement (groups like gush emunim). it's a shame olmert couldn't say it until his career was nearing an end. it's also too bad that the next government, be it labour or likud-led, will not follow his plan.

i agree with what you say BUT its really important that we distinguish between the state of israel and so-called "jews". those israeli jewish citizens who are not involved in the peace movement are complicit, as are those of us in other countries -jewish and non-jewish- who either support or ignore the apartheid regime in israel. however, millions of jews in- and outside of israel oppose this occupation and they are not guilty.
