@pLuMLoCo04 I do apologize, I did not mean to make you sad in any way. However, I have talked with an elkhound owner who has an elkhound who is 16 years old. But, out of all dogs, they are my all time favorite.

I see Quinn is ambidextrous.
Have you read "PUC: Gray Dog of Norway" by Nina P. Ross? Pretty good advanced young readers' novel, and an excellent introduction to the breed.

I love these videos. We had elkhounds on the farm growing up and they are so sweet. Keep posting. They are gorgeous dogs.
The elkhounds are my favorite breed, furthermore, the Norwegian elkhound is my favorite. Honestly, the videos of your elkhounds are what inspired this. I don't know why, exactly... but, out of all three of them, Toby, seems to be my favorite. How old is Toby anyway?

@GBPackerLuke6 Toby turned 11 just last week. Monty will be 13 in April and Quinn will be 8 in February.

@pLuMLoCo04 Okay. I have heard that elkhounds live until like 17-18 years? Another thing is, do you need to feed elkhounds very much, or not as much as, say, a Labrador Retriever? I have a Labrador who is 7 years old, we feed him twice a day, but he love the water--he's always gotta have it. I'm also just curious as to their feeding habits.

@GBPackerLuke6 Actually, 17 would be amazing if they lived that long. 13-15 years seems to be more the norm. I'm sure you can appreciate why that makes me very sad. Elkhounds can very quickly pack on weight, so you have to be careful feeding them.
