London Opera Gallery Street Artist Rich Simmons and Photographer Kim-Leng Hills were commissioned to go to Baku, Azerbaijan and introduce Street Art to the city. In 7 days, Rich Simmons had to produce 6 canvases of work to be placed amongst prime locations within the city for Condé Nast's Baku International Magazine. By working with Azeri artists, the President's eldest daughter Leyla Aliyeva, and Baku International, Rich and Kim-Leng visited the city and explained their organisation, Art Is The Cure, and the freedom of creative expression. Along the way, they produced a daily blog for people to watch their journey and love for Baku, Azerbaijan.
This film is of their 3rd day in Baku, where Rich was given a studio to produce his work to be ready in 2 days time. Here, he is talking to journalist Ed Caesar about how he founded Art Is The Cure, and the emotional journey to getting where he is today.
