March 10th 2009 , This object leaves a definite shadow across the moons surface. you can even see the way the shadow crosses the terrain on the moons surface and how big the object must be to leave such a shadow. The footage has been darkened / contrast raised high and cropped in to see better. but undeniable proof that something crosses the moons surface and leaves a shadow.

The height variation is visible, of course. But it's a lot smaller than the "shadow" could make you think it is.

There's no shadow. There's a lot of atmospheric turbulence that makes the object/bird appear to be a shadow following the contours of the moon surface.
The height variation on the moon isn't visible at that distance, so any shadow "following" the terrain contours can't be visible too.
For comparison:
If you shrink the earth down to the size of a billiard ball then it's surface (including the underwater surface) is smoother than a tournament billiard ball has to be. Same goes with the moon.

very cool, it seems that there have been a lot of activity on the moon lately, there are a mess of these kinds of videos on youtube now.
