Foucault's Pendulum @ The Pantheon in Paris

I say on the video that I'll try to find out how it works. Well, I went to Wikipedia and read what it says about Foucault's pendulum, but I still don't know how it works. Did see there that there are a lot of them in the U.S. and around the world, but have never seen one before.
