I put this trailer together to show my fav movie of 2008. An introverted boy befriends a newly arrived somewhat reclusive girl, who only appears at night. Their friendship turns to love, and 12 year old Oskar soon discovers his new love has a dark secret. This movie went on General Release in USA April 2008. Available in UK & Europe early 2009. Watch it !

I'm trying to get my mom to let me watch it. I have never seen a horror movie. Would you recommend this for an 11 year old?

i didnt think movies should be allowed to show naked kids ... fck artistic freedom... but after a little research on the theory that her penis was cut off hundreds or thousands of years ago. even if it was in the book, that was a vagina. not a scar or whatever.. i doubt they even used a plastic double. just a plain ordinary vagina. its a girl fools. would it be legal for the govt to arrest you for child porn owning this or other movies with kids being naked? i dont get it?

@hackajim theoretically if you owned say dozens of movies with lots of kids in the nip - it could possibly be used against you in a court. But your lawyer would have to be the worst lawyer in the world if you actually got a conviction. Commercial movies like this one have passed dozens of film censors worldwide. If a nude scene is in the movie - it's there for a reason. For those who haven't seen this - it's about a 1 second shot. Without it - his (Oscar) reaction would make no sense.

@medi18 on "let me in" the american remake, his reaction makes perfect sense, he's just checking to make sure she is actually a girl, because she asked earlier, "would you still like me if i wasn't a girl"..... in both versions you can see that he's checking her out naked.

Just a masterpiece of film making.Loved the movie,loved the book.No wonder this got over 60+ film awards worldwide!Hollywood back to drawing board you go.Let Me In has got nothing on this.

@SoundtracksMusic I agree with your comment except for - gender neutral? All children have a gender from before they are born! Its what parents get excited about with all those baby scans. "Gender neutral" doesn't make any sense to me.

@BoxyTheSpaceDog Hey, Let Me In wasn't as good as the original, but it's amazing for a hollywood remake. I certainly don't regret watching it, unlike most remakes...

Great, great movie. Far better than the US remake. Kodi (Oskar) wasnt as vulnerable as Kare. And Chloe (Eli) could not match the creepiness - and longing- of Lina.
