AWARENESS
Know the facts and statistics of childhood cancer..
Over 12,500 children are diagnosed with cancer each year in the United States alone.
Currently, one in every 330 children in the United States develops cancer before the age of nineteen- and the number is increasing.
About 2,500 children die of cancer each year in the U.S.
That translates to 7 children every single day.
Cancer remains the number one disease killer of children; more than genetic anomalies, cystic fibrosis, and AIDS combined.
Cancer occurs regularly, randomly, and spares no socioeconomic class, geographic affiliation, gender, or ethnic group.
The three most common types of cancer affecting chldren are leukemia, lymphoma, and brain/spinal cord tumors.
On average the treatment for childhood cancer diagnosis is two years, and can cause serious side effects that may last a lifetime.
Each school day in the United States and Canada, parents of 46 children will hear the disturbing, life altering four words- "Your child has cancer".
75% of children with cancer will survive; 25% will not.
Childhood cancer research is majorly underfunded. In fact, according to the National Cancer Institute, $189.8 million was allocated towards childhood cancer research in 2008, while a shocking $572.6 million was allocated towards breast cancer research.

  • She was so beautiful little girl.

I So wish there will be a cure for cancer someday.

So no one would have to suffer and die from it.

Rest in heavenly peace little Chloe <3

  • she was absolutely gorgeous, i'd like to make a video for her soon.

the pictures of her after her diagnosis and treatments are painful to see, poor baby :( xx

  • it is with sadness in my heart i watch this video...although such a great little fighter, she didn't survive...

cancer is a wicked disease, it's cruel and treacherous; with a mum who sadly died of it, a sister who is slowly succumbing to it right now & a cousin who barely survived it, i've known cancer since i was a child.

i wish i'd known how little research is going into childhood cancer. i wish i could do more now that i know, but i'll do what little i can.

    thank you for sharing, hun...xxx

  • so sad. Chloe wont be forgotten <3
