They're sweeter and better for you - no ketchup needed. Of course, if you're interested in the jicama version, you'll find that it's like eating raw potato. But if you like it, more power to you :)

Some facts about Pineapple:

Pineapples are nutritionally packed members of the bromeliad family. This delightful tropical fruit is high in the enzyme bromelain and the antioxidant vitamin C, both of which plays a major role in the body's healing process.

Bromelain is a natural anti-inflammatory that has many health benefits and encourages healing. According to Dr. Andrew Weil, bromelain is very effective in treating bruises, sprains and strains by reducing swelling, tenderness and pain. This powerful anti-inflammatory effect can also help relieve rheumatoid arthritis symptoms and reduce postoperative swelling. Additionally, the bromelain contained in fresh pineapple can relieve indigestion. This enzyme helps break down the amino acid bonds in proteins, which promotes good digestion.

  • Maybe to you they taste like crap, and maybe you made them wrong. I make them and they actually taste like fries. Next video, you should say in your opinion, thy taste like crap. Pineapple is pineapple, the point f the Jicama fry is to give a similar taste of a french fry without the crap. Thanks for the video.

  • @LovingTheRawLife You're absolutely right! It truly is my opinion :) I did mention in the description that they taste like raw potato. I actually didn't make them myself but had them at a raw food restaurant. Maybe you can share your recipe with me? I'd love to try it! Thanks for watching!

  • Wow...! You musta hit an inspirational high during that hiatus. Like a country song, "the harder the life, the sweeter the song." Love these new exampled videos where you're showing us how to do these things. Gotta add these to my recipe videos.

Never was much of a pineapple fan, but I'm in a pioneering stage for eating so I"ll prolly try these or make em for someone sometime. Thanks for making the video =)

  • @infinitemartialist Oh for sure :) Creation and creating make me feel so alive. Thank you for your encouragement :)

  • Can you make a sauce for this? I liked that you were working outside.

  • @norxcontacts I'm working on a sauce for these fries! I'm thinking raspberry or strawberry? I'm leaning toward raspberries. It'll be up soon! And it felt great to be outside :)

  • @RawWithRosalie I def will share the recipe. I think you will love it. love your channel. Keep the videos coming.

  • @lalateetee77 Rosalie is great, but also check out RawKarmaCravings here on youtube, as well as okraw, rubyvrom17,mahanomi, and liferegenerator. There are tons of gurus on here that can help just through their videos. Good luck.

  • @lalateetee77 ...because I made the mistake of not eating enough when I first started out and I was so hungry throughout the day. Eat large and filling salads, soups, veggie burgers (you can find these at your local grocery store already made and in different varieties), or make them yourself :) Get excited! You don't have to go 100% raw or vegan to feel your body changing and to gain health benefits. I'm not strict with my "raw" habits, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't be happy about where I am

  • @lalateetee77 Hi, and thanks for watching :) Infinitemartialist is correct in watching our protein sources. There are plenty of ways to get enough protein as a vegan - nuts, beans, seeds, greens, lentils, all very good sources of protein. I lost nine pounds in one month eating about 90% raw foods. And that was WITHOUT exercising. Right now, I'm eating things like couscous and fish and vegetables but my goal is to increase the fruits and vegetables again. Make sure you're eating enough...

  • @infinitemartialist I've heard about Ori Hofmekler. He's the Author of the Warrior Diet. But um...I understand what you are saying about the raw foods. I am overweight and have some pre-existing conditions. I have to take meds and am so tired of being a guinea pig. I am just trying to do what best to lose weight and be healthy.
