Once upon a time movies didn't have title songs. Then, in 1950, "My Foolish Heart" (my second favorite song of all-time) put an end to that since more people saw the film because of the song than because of Susan Hayward's smashing performance. All of a sudden, almost every other movie had a title song. When they were bad, they were ridiculous. When they were good, such as "Tender Is the Night", they became standards. This melancholic beauty should have won the 1962 Oscar for best song.

Beautiful song. Of course, the phrase 'tender is the night" was penned by the poet, John Keats, who really knew how to write about love.
