As far as I'm concerned, you can NEVER have TOO many fireplaces on a news set.
Nor can you have TOO many aquariums, carousel horses or grandfather clocks.

Has WJZ-TV been in their current studios at Television Hill in Baltimore for over 60 years?

..and I would guess by now that set is totally outdated by the HD transition..

I remember there was one time that the "13" in the background opened up to reveal a monitor when Al and Jerry was doing the news.

CBS owned WJZ 13 won't be building a new HDTV type set any time soon.
Imagine what would happen if HD viewers got to see Denise Koch and Sally Thorner at their REAL AGES!
RATINGS WOULD GO DOWN THE DRAIN FAST! LOL
