You were talking about continents and countries, friend. Not sure where this angry response comes from. Also not sure where this "Not everyone lives in America" thing is from either. The end of my comment wasn't meant to be taken as me being offended, though, if it seemed that way. It was basically me wryly tying up my comment, which is a habit I picked up from writing a lot. I apologies if it seemed otherwise. That's on me. With that tied up, could you explain how your comment is about accent?

Did I say that you were American? Did I say that everyone who speaks american english is from USA? I was referring to the American accent, which includes the majority of North America such as USA and Canada (do I have to be specific about the english Canada and not the french Canada as well?). Should I refer it as Canadian english? Or is it North American Canadian english? Nobody likes to be called something they aren't, but don't take it so damn personal. Not everybody lives in America. Oops.

Slight misunderstanding. North America and South America are continents. Americans are citizens of the USA (commonly referred to as America). It's a stupid mess of terminology, but honestly, what else could we call them? How often do people seriously say American in reference to a Canadian or Mexican person in a real conversation? Now North American, that's different. Americans, Canadians, Mexicans, we're all North American. But American? No, I'm a proud Canadian. Don't tell me otherwise.
