@yankeensouth4u2 Why, they wouldn't stay clean long. The tuners and tweekers would have them smoking like a freight train within hours. Look at the pickups, they start out clean diesels, plenty of power and torque with very little if any smoke. First they they do is re-cal the pumps, bolt on a bunch of mods and change control chips and Presto, they smoke like an old R model Mack. They apparently know more than the engine designers and engineers about these engines.

I work for one of the mentioned european companies and where I work they have another brand you mentioned. There diesels suck and are extremely unreliable especially with the add blue which is a horrible idea. They have catastrophic turbo and complete exhaust (cat) melt downs and the companies blame it on the US desiel funny domestic desiels are 10x more reliable the european and domestic abroad desiels are even better and in everything.

truey unique. Thaats for sure. Not mocking diesel cuz i own a german car and i luv newer diesel technology and wish they'd bring more european cars with diesels here instead of these ricers. u have fullsize vehicles getting 40+m.p.g. . The torque and power u get from them is unbelievable but the new clean diesels from europe need to be brought here more. right now mercedes, bmw, Vw, audi have them here and of course u.s. is way behind.
