@Riiye How about giving them something close to what their work deserved, or base it on the sale value of the product they make. It is abuse, being dressed up as 'help'. Disgraceful really.

@155an What would you rather, that they did not work at all and starved? It is the cheap labour that brought huge investment into China and India. India now has its own space program and these two countries will, in the next 50 years, become first world countries.

@Riiye Investment, gets getting paid peanuts, so large corporations can sell the items that they get paid 50p an hour for, at 1000 times that rate? Lucky them.

@155an Actually, very little manual labour for the west is conducted in Africa. Africa would be lucky if it were to get such an investment, such is how countries like China and India have worked their way out of poverty.

Slavery has been abolished? It hasn't been abolished, its just changed from being about skin colour, its now about the country you live in. Kids in 3rd world countries are still stitching our clother for peanuts, and that is slavery.
