In these two videos, I'm showing how safe the PC-7424XP is to use for those who may be apprehensive about using a orbital polisher on their paint. I use a PC with the Adam's most aggressive yellow pad and some Meguiar's Diamond Cut polish. I highly recommend against using this combination of products for novice users because it really beats up the paint. For a seasoned individual, this is easily fixed but a novice might find that cleaning up the paint after using this combo can be quite a workout.

  • This is an extremely informative video, regarding the various polishing machines. I'm much more confident now, after watching your vids. I've ALWAYS detailed my vehicle by hand. But, now that my vehicle's getting a bit older, I need better results. I was intially considering the DW849...but, since I'm pretty new to machine detailing, I'll stick with the PC 7424. Thanks, for the thorough vid and info!

  • @rokstar807 You'll be happy that you are going to learn machine polishing on such a forgiving machine. Your paint will love you for it too, not to mention your wallet. :)

  • Thanks much Junkman! love the vids.

I've recently bought a Camaro after a few months on Camaro5 and I've learned all I know from you! Will most certainly be getting a PC7424XP as well as Adam's products in the future.

Quick question though: What are your thoughts on paint protection film? I could see the edge of the film collecting wax and standing out.

    Have a good one!

  • @ddubvideo And that is why you NEVER buff up against the edge of a clear bra. You mask the edges off with blue painters tape so that doesn't happen. It looks like crap when you gum it up with polish or wax.

Make sure that you use my discount code if you buy anything from Adam's. Save yourself 10%!

  • @drewberg11 You'll have to get the foam gun from Amazon or Autogeek as Adam's doesn't carry it because it is no longer produced in the USA. But hey, you can still watch all my videos!

  • @Junkman2000 I'm sad to admit it but they are not Adams. I ordered before I knew the depth of the support you provide to the Adams community. I ordered after I saw this single 2 part video a week ago. Since then, I've discovered all the threads and support over on the Adams forum. For all the work and support you provide in those forums, Adams definitely deserves my money in the future. I'm already eying up a foam gun more leather products, those will ordered from Adams for sure!

  • @drewberg11 Thanks for watching. What brand of polishes did you choose?

  • I just wanted to say thank you for the time you spent making the video. I had never purchased a machine before out of fear of making things worse. Your video convinced me to pick up a Porter Cable. I'll get my first chance at removing light swirls next week.

  • @killfloor420 I have an entire sub-forum called "The Junkman's Corner". If you find the main page with all the forums listed, you can't miss it. It is under the section called "Detailing Nitty Gritty". You would have to be blind to miss it. Did you find the main page that listed all the forums?

  • i cant find your videos on the adams forms
