I think your video is based on the premise of religiosity. it's like if Hell is real then you must have Jesus so you wont burn forever! Because you can't know for sure it isn't that way and the ultimate consequence is so unbelievably terrible-therefore repent! Fallacy , a destroyed Economy would curtail the future ability of the Nation to act, when the Technological Fact is better defined. It is better to be wealthy than be poor, when risks are future events. Ruining the Economy would mean when the intelligence improves and actions would be more effective, action is unavailable due to economic ruin. In fifty years technology may harbor answers not thought of today ,but if the economy is ruined, no one can act ,even if it is easier to solve
