"Swine Flu" (A9 H1N1) is a hybrid of the following influenza strains:

* North American Swine (Pig)
* North American Avian (Bird)
* European/Asian Swine (Pig)
* Human Influenza

The new virus 'attacks' the upper respiratory tract (your throat) which makes it much less dangerous than it would be if it entered the lungs.

A gene named NS1 is also described as 'normal' which means that the virus is unlikely to result in serious pneumonia.

Lol, its called natural selection (yes evolution, although technically viruses are largely regarded as non living, hard to explain in a concise manner), as humans build up resistance to the virus. Now instead of the weak dying, resistance is built up in less than one human generation as opposed to several full human generations. Because viral 'lifespans' are short and there genome is small and dependent on a host cell, medicine is actually accelerating mutation. It is an unfortunate paradox.

I would perfer to die of the Swine flu than the vacine. Look up when h1n1 first went into use in 1976 at a miliary base, where it killed more people than the flu and after this, what I think was a goverment controlled study, they found that the H1N1 caused Autism in childbirth, still birth, etc. H1N1 is very very dangerous....
