  • man Gary, that is absolutely awesome ! I'll have to post my version of this one on here....once again you did it full justice ! I wonder where to find actual historic info on this tune....what it really meant, when it originated, etc etc. I've been told soliders joy was referring to either booze, morphine, or like above mentioned payday...would be interesting to know !

  • Interesting variation and great job!. EVERBODY that plays the fiddle does this one. Some folks also call it "Payday in the Army." It has some really raunchy, seldom heard, words.
