  • I know this has nothing to do with the subject of the video, but: when you listen to someone speaking a language related to your own you can really hear how languages diverged just by people saying things in slightly different ways over time. I mean there are parts where it _almost_ sounds like he's just speaking English with an accent. I think that's neat.

  • It is so wonderful to hear these instruments. I was recently in Vienna and there were hundreds of recorders and other renaissance and baroque instruments just in cases in a museum. They are beautiful, to be sure, but meant to be played.

    Lovely video, regardless.

  • This is a wonderful way to spen 3 minutes. I want a recorder in Eb now. it sounded wonderful. Why didn't you play the Hotteterre?

Who are you by the way? Do you have CDs - are you a teacher? In what school?

    Thanks

  • Wonderful commentary. Very informative. Beautiful instruments. Thank you.

  • this guy reminds me of Gustavo Cerati

  • Indeed; it is Dutch.

  • to me as a german it is easy to understand what he is talkin about... but way more easier with the subtitles...

  • Die echte oude is toch wel de beste

  • Not Afrikaans, although some words are pretty similar. Afrikaans comes from Dutch, mainly, so I think it's probably Dutch. Yes?

  • It is Dutch
