@lachius you know it mightnt be a bad thing. fame kills...

Its funny that most of their songs have so much meaning in them, and alot of their fance dont understand the meanings of the songs, Gord says he'll never explane the meanings of the songs, but i find them fairly easy to figure out :)

@Onlydreamin1959 I'm from New Brunswick and have been a huge fan since the first tape too. :D

Yep-too much intelligence going on here to be real to the American people. They're too busy getting drunk on some boring Dave Matthews stuff or some Train. Oh well. Their loss. The Tragically Hip trails only Foghat and The Guess Who, another great Canadian band, as my my favorite rock band ever. Those three top The Beatles, Stones, AC/DC, The Doors, Dylan, MJ, Prince, you name 'em, these three top 'em. Dig this rock. Gord's voice is right up and in yer face and then right over it, too. Enjoy!

I wish they'd do a whole album that sounded like this, with the type of edge they once had. The lyrics of this song are brilliant. Gus the polar bear is terrific also.

another poetic musical genre dominating tune!! EH!

Good point.

I saw your comment and had to smile. I'm too old, probably, to enjoy the Hip as much as O do. but i got hooked early on into their career. Such a talent, yet they never made it internationally. They always wanted to be a performance band and perhaps in today's video-world, their videos just didn't pan out because they hated doing them. Anyway, enjoy! Music is music, and if you like something, then pursue it. And no, you won't hear much of this on radio.

I live in Ontario! I've loved them from their first CD (well, actually it was a tape...)

i personally could'nt pick a favorite ablum or song from the hip,, to me their all just fucking great,, these guys really are unsung canadian hero's,, sure we all know them up here most likely seen them live a couple times,,but do we really give them what they derserve,, we are just as much influenced by the american rock scene as the rest of the world,,and great bands like the hip are left unoticed and underaprecciated, even in our own country,,we take them for granted, its disgusting really,,

Im from ireland and thanks to my good canadian friend he introduced me to the Hip (and to other cool canadian bands) and im sooooooooooo happy he did. i would never have known that canada has such great music..........not all crap like Dion, Adams, and Avril Lavagne
Considering also im from ireland that unleashed westlife and boyzone to the world - proves good music is hard to find what with all the banal rubbish on the box these days
