This is a 2-minute trailer for the documentary "Code Name: Butterflies", written, directed and produced by Chilean filmmaker Cecilia Domeyko. The documentary tells the story of Patria, Minerva and Maria Teresa Mirabal of the Dominican Republlic who created in the 1950s created a secret resistence movement against dictator Rafael Leonidas Trujillo, and were assassinated by him. The documentary interweaves interviews with survivors of the regime with historical recreations enacted by dramatic talent, to create a story of terror and suspense. Premiere at the Hall of the Americas, Organization of American States in March, 2009. Premiere Santo Domingo, DR. Cine Latino Award at the DC Independent Film Festival 2009, Telly Platimum Award, and on the official list at Boston, San Francisco and LA Latino Film Festivals, Cinesol, Havana, Santo Domingo, and Cartagena International Film Festival.
