This illustrates quite well why I hate the use of flashing white headlights on bikes. It's a growing problem around here.When I see a flashing light approaching I know that drivers are less likely to be aware of me with my flashing red tail light.

It's the SUV model of safety applied to bikes. "I feel safer. That's what matters. I haven't taken a moment to consider how that actually is more dangerous for everyone else."

So 99% percent of the time you say "Didn't you see that?" you know the answer....

And btw can I get a medical diagnose for that, for solving my speeding ticket issues:
