  • This goes to show you jerks just how fast a ninja 500 really is. Running side by side with GSXR 600. Ha

  • really impressive that a two cylinder 500cc bike can ride with a four cylinder 600. The Gsxr is the clear winner but by a small margin. In real world conditions the Ninja 500 can ride with the big dogs. I just bought one and I couldn't be happier. I recommend the ninja to any newcomer or even seasoned riders. It's my fourth bike and I love it. Especially since I only paid 1700 for it with 5000 miles on the clock.

  • What mods have been done to the 500, I would like to do them to mine, If there useful for more then just drag racing. Thank's, yl

  • What year is your bike, The Ninja500r that is. The older ones are faster then the 2nd gen bikes, But the newer bikes have some improvements. There slower & weigh more...lol Thank's, yl

  • good enough for Me but I Am Not trying to win a race I just want something fast enough to keep from being ran over by them pulling a Horse trailer but I have a Ninja 500 Engine Its too big & heavy need more power In a smaller package.

  • Despite the styling. My ninja 500 can hang with anything really. Acceleration is amazing from 0-60+ after 80-90 mph it kinda gets sluggish. But nothing is better than whooping a fast car in a little 500.

  • Pretty good for the 500.

I have one and have ridden with big bikes. I can keep up in the twisties and such, but once things get to 80+ i dont have a chance.

  • @cmfernandez9283 I just bought one too. It is also my fourth bike, if I can count my 50cc moped as my first bike...

  • @cmfernandez9283 i couldn't agree more! mine was $3000 used 2009 with 700 miles. it's not a dragster, and the stylin is old an lame, but for a 1 yr. rider, it's perfect for me. low insurance too! it's plenty fast for commuting and FOLLOWING most speed limits :)

  • not bad for the 500 ninja , i got a 1987 #292 that runs a twelve
