Great inverter. Just bought one of these, in part based on this review. I was originally considering the Honda but I think the Yamaha has the slight edge based on overall weight and dB. I can't believe how light it is! If you want to run more stuff than is shown here (e.g. a/c), go for a 2000. But I was looking for maximum portability to take in my '78 VW Westalia. This little powerhouse is perfect for my uses.

is it possible to convert this generator to run on gas/lpg? Also how many hours will this machine run before it's broken?
