Ever wonder how it feels to run around in an ape suit shaking branches, kicking up dust, and beating your chest in a "B" movie? Watching The White Gorilla is the closet you'll probably come to finding out, because after about five minutes you'll feel like you're trapped with a broken zipper inside a very hairy cinematic experience. It makes White Pongo look like The English Patient. To tell the story of an African guide (RAY "CRASH" CORRIGAN) who encounters a chubby little boy lording over a tribe of savage black tigermen (forget the face that there are no tigers in Africa), editor ADRIAN WEISS intercut clips from the 1927 silent Perils of the Jungle, which serve as flashbacks. Sooo... When Crash peers through the bushes -- quick! -- cut to the silent. When Crash climbs a tree and cranes his neck, again, cut to the silent. And when Crash stumbles into Morgan's Trading Post and recounts his adventures -- yup! -- back to the silent. In fact, we bounce around between films so much that you get totally slap happy and don't know which end is up. It's the celluloid equivalent of sniffing glue. - Something Weird

80% of this movie was actually ripped from an old 1927 silent serial, Perils Of the Jungle. They edited in 1947 acting footage to make it look like there own. However, watching the movie, it becomes blatantly obvious that it's all separate footage. This travesty of a film was nothing more then a theiving, cheap, piece of crap, made to acquire a quick buck that the makers of the serial earned, not the con-men who compiled all this. It's easily on the top ten list of worst movies of all time
