We did it! A group of Westhumble and Mickleham locals completed the 24-hour National Three Peaks challenge 28th-29th June to raise money for the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.
The challenge involved climbing the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours. Setting off at 5pm on Sunday 28th June up Ben Nevis, driving overnight to the Lake District to climb Scafell Pike, and finally driving to Wales and climbing Snowdon.
Archie Parkin, who is the son of challenge organisers Rhona and Steve, received leukemia treatment at the Royal Marsden 4 years ago and is now in remission.
