no an ar15 is a .223. close but not the same andddd its high powered. big difference.

but rounds are carry MUCH more energy ke to a target. if i HAD to chose. i'd rather take a .22 to the leg then a .223 to the leg.

The bullet itself is not the same as what's behind it. My AR-15 is a .22LR, but with a longer bullet and about 20 more grains behind it. I said .22LR, not .22 Calibre.

This shithead killed 9 people with his little .22lr Mosquito. It is a simple fact that the .22lr kills more people than any other caliber in the world. Probably because it is the most widely used ammunition.
It is indeed not a good choice for a defensive round since it lacks the stopping power of the bigger ones, but dismissing it as a non-lethal toy is seriously stupid and dangerous...
